Questions and answers
What if the weather turns bad on our session day?
Don’t worry at all! Since we are shooting outdoors near Lake Ontario or around Kingston, the weather can surprise us. If it starts pouring rain or turns into a heavy storm, we will simply reschedule your session to the next available date that works for your family, at no extra cost.
What happens if my child gets sick right before the photoshoot?
I completely understand that kids get sick unexpectedly, and the last thing I want is for you to stress about it. If anyone in your family feels unwell, just let me know as soon as possible. We will easily move your deposit and reschedule the session to a day when everyone is healthy, happy, and ready to enjoy the walk.
How many people can come to a family photo session?
My standard family collections are fully tailored for a single household (parents and their children) with no strict headcounts or hidden fees. If you are planning a large multigenerational gathering—including grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins—please let me know in advance. We will simply customize the timeline so that we have plenty of time to capture every beautiful group dynamic and individual portrait without any rush.
Will you help us choose what to wear for the session?
Absolutely! You don’t have to figure this out alone. Once you book your session, I will guide you through color combinations and styling choices that fit our specific location perfectly (whether it’s an autumn orchard, a sunny beach, or a park walk). We will make sure your family looks coordinated, natural, and completely elegant without feeling stiff.
How do we choose which photos get professionally retouched?
After our walk, I don’t just pick random images myself. I will upload all the successful successful shots from our day into a private, secure online gallery just for you. You can sit down with your family at home, look through them at your own pace, and select your absolute favorites for high-end magazine-style retouching.
Do you travel outside of Kingston for sessions?
Yes, absolutely! My standard family collections fully cover travel to locations within 60 km of Kingston, including Prince Edward County (Picton), Gananoque, Napanee, and Amherstview. If you have a specific destination in mind that is further away, just let me know, and we can easily calculate a custom travel rate for your session.
